Introduction

The LSST applications framework provides the basic functionality needed by an image processing system. In particular:

• Images : Representation of Images (and Masks)

• afwSecDisplay : How to display images
• Tables : Table and record classes for catalog data
• Table-Based Persistence : Table-based persistence
